The boring stuff that actually matters. Read it, know your rights, know ours — built and maintained by Swiftaw.
By using Fortized — whether you're browsing, signing up, or just poking around — you're agreeing to these Terms. You also confirm that you're at least 13 years old (16 in most EU countries), and that you've actually read what's on this page. If you don't agree, don't use the platform.
Fortized is built and operated by
Swiftaw, registered under French law. That means we play by the rules — French commercial law, GDPR, the Digital Services Act, and every other piece of EU regulation that applies to us.
When you sign up, you're taking on a few responsibilities:
You need to be at least 13 to use Fortized. In the EU, that minimum is 16 unless a parent or guardian gives verifiable consent. By registering, you're telling us you meet the age requirement where you live.
If you're in the EU, you've got a 14-day cooling-off period on paid digital stuff you buy through Fortized, as long as you haven't started using it yet. That's on top of whatever other rights French consumer law gives you.
Your stuff is your stuff. You own whatever you create or share on Fortized. When you post something, you're giving us permission to show it on the platform — that's it. We don't claim ownership, and the licence you give us is revocable.
Make sure what you post doesn't step on anyone else's rights or break any laws. We don't review every piece of content before it goes up, and we don't endorse user-generated content.
Want something you posted taken down? Just ask — we'll handle it. And if we remove something of yours and you think we got it wrong, you can appeal through the in-app process. We follow the EU Digital Services Act on all of this.
We run multiple layers of protection — automated moderation, the Fortized Security Department, age restrictions, community standards, and a report button that actually does something. Safety isn't a feature we tacked on; it's baked into how the platform works.
Our safety systems are built to meet the EU Digital Services Act head-on — that means transparent moderation, easy-to-use reporting, and real protections for younger users.
We do our best to keep Fortized running around the clock, but things happen — maintenance, updates, the occasional emergency patch. If we know downtime is coming, we'll give you a heads-up. We can't promise 100% uptime, but we'll always aim for it.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Fortized and Swiftaw aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from your use of the platform. That covers things like:
None of this gets us off the hook for things like fraud, negligence causing injury, or anything that French law and EU consumer protection won't let us exclude. Your statutory rights as a consumer are untouched.
If your actions on Fortized cause us legal trouble — whether that's breaking these Terms, violating someone's rights, or doing something you shouldn't have — you agree to cover Fortized and Swiftaw for any resulting claims, damages, or costs.
This only applies as far as French and EU law allows. It doesn't override your consumer protection rights — we're not trying to sneak anything past you.
These Terms are governed by French law. If we can't sort out a dispute between us, the courts in France have jurisdiction — unless EU or national law says otherwise.
If you're in the EU, you can also use approved alternative dispute resolution services or the European Online Dispute Resolution platform. We'll participate in good faith.
Before taking things to court or going public, talk to us first. Reach out to Fortized support and give us a chance to make it right. We'll respond to formal complaints within 15 business days.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a significant change, you'll get at least 30 days' notice before it kicks in. That's not just us being nice — it's EU law.

Fortized is a social and gaming platform built by Swiftaw. You can create or join communities called Bastions, chat through text, voice, and video, share media, build out your profile, and connect with people who are into the same stuff you are — especially gaming.
Here's what falls under "the Service":
You need an account to get the full Fortized experience. When you sign up, be honest — use real information. One person, one account. If you need an exception, ask us.
Your login credentials are your responsibility. Keep them private. If you suspect someone else has access to your account, let us know immediately. On our end, we use strong security measures to protect your credentials and sessions.
You can delete your account whenever you want from your settings. On our side, we may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms, cause harm, or put the community at risk. If we do, we'll let you know why and give you a chance to appeal when possible.
Radiance is our premium subscription — it unlocks better profile customisation, custom banners, exclusive badges, and cosmetic upgrades. Radiance+ goes further with profile themes, extended customisation, and priority support.
Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly or annually, depending on what you picked. When you subscribe, you're giving us the go-ahead to charge your payment method each cycle. You can cancel anytime, and it'll run out at the end of your current period.
The Atelier is our marketplace for cosmetic items — avatar decorations, profile effects, themes, badges, you name it. Purchases are final and non-refundable unless consumer protection law in your country says otherwise. What you buy is licensed for your personal use on Fortized; you're not buying the intellectual property behind it.
Refunds are handled case by case. If your country gives you a statutory cooling-off period (like the EU's 14-day withdrawal right), that still applies — we don't override the law.
Don't do any of the following on Fortized:
Everything you post must follow our Community Guidelines (check /community-guidelines). If you break them, we can remove the content and take action on your account — warnings, temp bans, or permanent bans depending on what happened. If it's illegal, we may also report it to the authorities.
Everything that makes Fortized what it is — the name, logo, design, code, and branding — belongs to Swiftaw. Don't use our trademarks or branding without getting written permission first.
What you create stays yours. By posting it, you give Swiftaw a licence to display and distribute it on the platform — nothing more. Delete your content or your account, and that licence goes away.
We offer APIs for developers who want to build on Fortized. Using the API means you're bound by these Terms plus any additional API-specific rules. Break the rules, lose your access — simple as that.
We enforce rate limits on API usage. Don't try to exceed them. Build your integrations responsibly — cache properly and handle errors gracefully.
Fortized is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep things running smooth, but we can't promise perfection — no platform can. To the extent the law allows, we don't make warranties about uptime, bugs, or anything like that.
Fortized may link to or integrate with external services and platforms. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those third-party services — once you leave Fortized, their rules apply, not ours.

When you sign up or use Fortized, here's what we collect:
Your account data lives on secure, encrypted servers maintained by Swiftaw. Here's how we handle it:
We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your data from our live systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days — unless the law requires us to hold onto something longer.
This is where we draw hard lines. No exceptions.
Security doesn't work if you can't see it. We're committed to being upfront about how we protect the platform and your data.
You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal data at any time. You can manage this directly through your account settings or by reaching out to our support team.
We may update this Privacy Policy as things evolve. If we make big changes, you'll hear about it through an in-app notice. If you keep using Fortized after the update, that means you're okay with it.
30 days' heads-up: For any material changes, we give you at least 30 days' notice before they take effect. EU law requires it, and we'd do it anyway.
