Acceptance and Eligibility
Using Fortized (the "Service") means you're agreeing to these Terms of Use ("Terms"), the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and, if you buy anything, the Fortshop Policy. If any of that doesn't sit right with you, please stop using Fortized.
You need to be at least 13 to use Fortized. In the EU and the UK, that's 16, unless a parent has given verifiable consent. Signing up is you telling us you're old enough where you live and that you're able to enter into this agreement.
Your account is yours to look after, and whatever happens on it is on you, whether you meant it to happen or not. If someone gets in without your say-so, tell us right away at Fortized Support. If that access came from you not keeping your password safe, that part's not on us.
Prohibited Conduct
While you're on Fortized, please don't:
- Harass, bully, threaten, intimidate, or endanger anyone (in chat, voice, or any other medium)
- Post or share illegal content, defamatory statements, or content that violates someone else's rights
- Share hate speech, slurs, or content that discriminates based on protected characteristics
- Engage in sexual exploitation, abuse, or grooming of minors
- Spam, flood, or repeatedly post unwanted or unsolicited content
- Impersonate another person, including Swiftaw staff, creators, or public figures
- Share malware, viruses, ransomware, or any code designed to harm the Service or other users
- Attempt to exploit, hack, reverse-engineer, or bypass the security of Fortized or any of its systems
- Run automated bots, scrapers, or tools without written permission from Swiftaw
- Bypass rate limits, access controls, or authentication mechanisms
- Distribute someone else's personal information (doxxing) or encourage others to do so
- Create multiple accounts to evade bans, penalties, or restrictions
- Sell, trade, or transfer your account to another person
- Use Fortized to solicit or conduct illegal transactions
Content You Post
You own what you make and post on Fortized, the text, images, videos, audio, emojis, custom roles, bastion banners, all of it. Posting it just gives us the free, worldwide permission we need to show it on the platform. Delete the content or your account and that permission ends.
What you post is your responsibility. Don't post anything:
- That is illegal in any jurisdiction where Fortized is available
- That violates copyright, trademark, or someone else's intellectual property
- That contains minors in sexual or exploitative contexts
- That is intentionally designed to harass or abuse another person
- That you do not have the right to distribute
If you post something copyrighted, you need the copyright holder's permission, or it has to count as fair use under the law. Keep breaking copyright and you'll lose your account.
We use a mix of automated systems and human moderators to catch and remove content that breaks these Terms. We don't read everything before it goes up. If we take something of yours down, we'll let you know where we can, and you can appeal it through Fortized Support. We'll get back to appeals within 15 business days.
Community Standards and Enforcement
Break these Terms and you might get a warning. A warning is just that, a heads-up that something you did crossed a line. There's no penalty attached beyond the notice itself. Keep it up after a warning, though, and we'll take it further.
For serious or repeated violations, we may suspend your account for a while. While it's suspended you can't log in, send messages, or use Fortized. How long it lasts depends on how bad the violation was. Once it's up, your account comes back on its own.
For the worst stuff, illegal activity, child exploitation, relentless harassment, coordinated abuse, we may ban your account for good. A permanent ban can't be undone. We may hold onto your account data for legal or safety reasons, but you won't get back into Fortized.
If you're suspended or banned and think we got it wrong, you've got 30 days to appeal through Fortized Support. Tell us why. We'll look it over and reply within 15 business days. Whatever we decide on the appeal is final.
Voice, Video, and Live Content
Swiftaw doesn't record your voice or video calls. But anyone else on the call might, so assume they could be. Joining a call means you're okay with the other people there hearing and seeing you. And if you're the one recording, it's on you to tell them.
If you stream or broadcast from Fortized, everything in that stream is on you, including whatever other people say in voice channels. Don't stream people without their okay. And streaming copyrighted stuff you don't have a licence for, music, games, shows, can land you a DMCA takedown from whoever owns it.
User-Generated Content (Bots, Templates, Emojis)
If you build and publish something through the Atelier (Creator tab), a bot, a bastion template, a custom emoji, whatever, that creation is your responsibility. It can't:
- Infringe copyright or trademark
- Violate anyone's privacy or intellectual property
- Contain malware, malicious code, or exploits
- Violate these Terms or any applicable law
We can pull any user-made bot, template, emoji, or content that breaks these Terms. A creator who keeps at it gets removed from the Atelier, and possibly suspended too.
Intellectual Property
Fortized itself, the name, the logo, the design, the code, the brand, everything original we've made, belongs to Swiftaw. Don't use our trademarks, logos, or branding without written permission, and don't reverse-engineer the Service to pull our intellectual property out of it.
If someone on Fortized is stepping on your copyright, trademark, or other IP, report it to Fortized Support and show us you own it. We'll look into it and do what the law requires.
Reporting and Safety
Run into harassment, abuse, illegal content, or anything else that breaks these Terms? Hit the Report button in the app or reach Fortized Support. Our moderation team looks at every report, and we won't tell the person you reported who you are unless the law makes us.
Don't file fake or malicious reports. Spamming false reports to hurt other people can get you a warning, a suspension, or a ban.
Fortized is a social platform, and we can't watch every conversation as it happens. We lean on your reports and on automated detection. We work hard to keep it safe, but we can't promise total safety or stop every bad actor. We're not liable for harm other users cause, including harassment, fraud, or abuse.
Changes to These Terms
We'll update these Terms now and then. When something meaningful changes, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days ahead. Don't like the new version? You can delete your account. Keep using Fortized past that 30-day window and you're accepting it.
